The UEFA European Championship 2016 , commonly known as UEFA Euro 2016, is the 15th tournament of the UEFA European Championship. The UEFA European Championship is normally held after 4 years. After 2012 the tournament already have began from 10 June. This event currently being held in France from 10 June to 10 July 2016. It's the quadrennial international men's football Competition of Europe organized by UEFA. In this all of 15 tournament Spain are the two-time defending champions, they have won the 2008 and 2012 editions.
The first tournament of the European Championship will be contested by 24 teams after bieng expanded from 16 team format since 1996. Under this new format, the finalists will challenge a gathering stage comprising of six gatherings of four groups, trailed by a knockout stage including three rounds and the last. Nineteen groups – the main two from each of the nine qualifying bunches and the best third-put group – joined France, who qualified naturally as hosts; a progression of two-legged play-off ties between the staying third-set groups in November 2015 chose the last four spots at the last competition.

France was picked as the host country on 28 May 2010, after an offering procedure in which they beat Italy and Turkey for the privilege to have the 2016 finals. The matches will be played in ten stadia in ten urban areas: Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Étienne, and Toulouse. It will be the third time that France has the competition, after the inaugural competition in 1960 and the 1984 finals. The French group have won the European Championship twice: in 1984 and 2000.
